Armagnac

Armagnac, the region of France, has given its name to its distinctive kind of brandy or eau de vie, made of the same grapes as Cognac and undergoing the same aging in oak barrels, but without double distillation. 	This Armagnac comes from "Grand Bas-Armagnac", an area well known for its high-quality brandies that connoisseurs enjoy. These are distilled in traditionnal stills and, then, put in wooden barrels for aging, before being blended by a skilled "Maître de Chai".
