Dry and bitter with some slightly smoky hop flavours witha touch of soft malt. Towards the finish the hops are dominant, but not overpowering.
Clean pale malt aromas with a hint of spicy hops. A highly drinkable and refreshing style of pilsner.
One of the cassic wheat beers from Bavaria fresh, lively and very tasty.
A light, powdery chocolate nose with some spice, and a silky palate of caramel and milk chocolate, with a smoky hint.
The stronger version of the German classic. Deep roast malt notes give an impression of chocolate and frutiness.
Pale lemony gold in colour with a pure white lasting head the aroma is lightly fruity with some flowery hops. Taste is very clean, a result unlike normal ales, of cold conditioning. Fresh, with just a touch of bitter hops.
Taste is of grassy, resiny hops held up well by a very supportive malt base. The label says 'Friesisch Herb' which is 'Fresh, dry' and this is so.
One of the rarer wheat beers, lots of fruit (lemon, banana) and spice (cloves, mace) notes, long finish. A great example of the style

Kuppers has a pale golden colour, and a delicate refreshing taste.
A popular style in Germany and the Czech Republic. Dark malts are used in the brewing resulting in rich, nutty flavours.
A fresh clean pils with a distinctive malty aroma, smooth and well balanced
On the palate this beer is extremely light and smooth, with little evidence of its strength. Lemon zest is also present, though without any associated sharpness. The finish is very clean.
With an irresistible, flowery hop bitterness that sets it apart from all others, Mönchshof Schwarzbier is relatively light in body - but bursting with character. Its dark, roasted, slightly chocolatey and warming palate is astounding for such a refreshing and drinkable beer.
Paulanor Original has a pronounced grainy malt character, with smooth grassy butter in the mouth. The hops give it a balanced bitter-lemon cleanliness that lasts through to the end.
Paulaner is without doubt one of the finest wheat beers available, with its thick white head and subtle flavours of cloves very little can touch it on a hot summers day.
This is a very well-respected German wheat doppelbock, generally considered to be a classic.
