Anchors Christmas offering.
Anchor brews its winter beer with a slightly different recipe every year.
A rich dark ale with spices.

A darker version of the honey ale, slightly sweet, with hints of dried fruit in the finish.

Brooklyn completely changed the recipe in 2006. It’s now a Scottish-style ale. Brewmaster Garrett Oliver explained to us that: “There are no spices at all. Good British floor malts and hops along with our yeast strain account for all the flavors. It has a Scottish-style cooler fermentation, which pushes malt to the forefront rather than fruitiness.” It was brewed with Scottish Floor-malted Maris Otter, English crystal malts, Belgian Aromatic malt, American roasted malts, American oats and hopped with Willamette.

Meaning Snow White. With a slightly darker colour and slightly higher alcohol content than the classic Erdinger Weissbier, the Erdinger Schneeweisse is a winter beer offering a really pleasant change at the coldest time of the year, a time when we like to treat ourselves to something special.

Hoegaarden Speciale is a the turn of the year and available from September until February. Hazy golden in colour, it has a mouthcoating taste of lightly roasted malts, and a slight flavour of Hoegaarden herbs.

Brewed exceptionally for the Christmas period, Scaldis Noel is a brilliant, red-amber ale that will delight the most demanding connoisseurs.

De Dolle Brouwers
Stille Nacht (Silent Night) is a prestige beer from De Dolle Brouwers, brewed for Christmas. It has the highest density of any Belgian beer (27°Pl). It has been boiling for many hours, brewed with pale malt with white candy sugar in the kettle. The Nugget hops gives an extra bitterness to balance the extreme sweetness due to the density. The taste triangle is completed with some acidity of the fermentation. It is a very interesting beer to age. We have samples of every bottling we have done so far and aging hasn't decreased the quality of this beer. Keep some samples at 10°C and mark the year on the cap with an alcohol marker. Cheers!!
