Ardbeg distillery produces one of the heaviest, peatiest malts likely to be encountered.
Nose, Seaweed, sweet and sour. Palate, appetising, spicy. Finish, Nutmeg, satisfying.

Ardbegs Airigh Nam Biest (pronounced Arry Nam Baysht) uses exclusively 1990 distillate. As it is older than the 10 year old it is a softer more rounded whisky with a creamy, smoky flavour and hints of fennel and pine nuts

This premium expression has been created from specially selected casks from 1990, 1993 plus much older, sherry cask-matured Ardbeg. The resulting malt is true to the 'house style' but with an additional luscious richness.

Sweet, wood smoke, hints of smoked ham. A touch of ozone and some briny/sea tangle aromas
Palate: Sweetness laced with ash and peat smoke. Iodine and carbolic soap flavours present along with a salty edge.

Palate: Full-on Phenol plus iodine.
Finish: Long, smoked, maritime.

Nose: Initially soft, before the anticipated tar and leather.
Palate: Soft, aromatic and fruity - runs to phenolics.
Finish: Tar,creosote,Leather,Runs long and dry.
