Hi-Spirits

At one time, Glen Scotia was one of thirty-two distilleries in the Campbeltown region of Scotland. Today, it is one of only two distilleries that remain in this one-time "whisky capital" of Scotland.
Salty and phenolic in taste with a lingering finish.

The malt for Longrow is dried entirely over a peat fire and the spirit is double-distilled in the traditional Scottish style.
The dried fruit and gentle smokiness on the nose of the 10 Year Old give little warning as to the bonfire of flavours which dance around the palate.
The use of both sherry and bourbon casks in maturation give an initial rush of both sweetness and spice before the peat smoke arrives to overwhelm the senses.
Like all good fires the embers linger long after the flames have died down.

The family who own Springbank are direct descendants of the smugglers who originally made their illicit whisky on the very same spot.
A long taste, salty, slightly oily with a complex sweet and fruity floweriness developing on the palate. The finish is both sweet and salty.
